The opening friendly match of the 2026 Fujian Football City League (FJCL, also known as Min Super) Campus Tour series ignited the atmosphere at Zhiyuan Athletics Field of Minjiang University on the afternoon of June 18.
The event invited Ningde Team of the FJCL to campus for an exciting showdown against the Minjiang University Football Team. It brought the vitality of the provincial top-tier city football league onto university grounds, built a new platform for youth exchange linked by green pitches, and boosted the quality of campus sports culture.

Distinguished guests attended the match, including Li Teng, Secretary of the Communist Youth League Fujian Provincial Committee; Huang Jianshun, Deputy Director of Fujian Provincial Department of Education; Wu Keshou, Party Secretary of Minjiang University; Zhu Yaoming, Director and Second-Class Inspector of Football Reform Office, Fujian Provincial Sports Bureau; Zhou Rui, Deputy Secretary of the Communist Youth League Fujian Provincial Committee; and Ren Tao, Deputy Party Secretary of Minjiang University.Deng Wei, women’s 63kg weightlifting gold medalist of the Rio Olympic Games, and Zhou Naisen, a Minjiang University student winner of the National Outstanding Self-improved College Student Award, jointly kicked off the game, officially launching this year’s FJCL Campus Friendly Match series.

Vigorous youthful spirit of young people across Fujian permeated every corner of the stadium. Over one thousand faculty and students formed cheering groups in the stands, with eye-catching banners reading "Vibrant Min Super on Campus", "Youthful Fujian, Health First", "Magnificent Ningde, Full of Vitality", "Go MJU", and "Dare to Strive and Win". Chants such as "Play Sports at Minjiang University" and "Roaring Lions from Mountains and Seas, Cheer for Ningde" echoed nonstop, accompanied by resounding drumbeats and passionate cheers, recreating the immersive fervor of professional football tournaments.


On the pitch, both sides fought fiercely with frequent shifts between attack and defense, producing numerous breathtaking highlights. Even trailing by a wide margin, the Minjiang University side remained fearless and persistent. In the second half, the team pulled off exquisite teamwork, with the striker scoring from a tight-angle shot to send the whole stadium wild. The MJU players demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship through their unyielding efforts. In the end, Minjiang University lost 1-4 to Ningde FJCL Team.

Co-sponsored by the Communist Youth League Fujian Provincial Committee, Fujian Provincial Department of Education and Fujian Provincial Sports Bureau, hosted by Minjiang University, Fujian Football Association and the Communist Youth League Fuzhou Municipal Committee, and co-organized by Fujian University Students Sports Federation, this friendly match marks the first stop of the FJCL University Tour brand series.
The event fully implements the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and the education philosophy of "Health First". It encourages college students across the province to "step away from screens, walk out of dormitories and onto sports fields", promotes the FJCL Campus brand, and steadily improves students’ physical fitness.
